Dr. Alise Chin, OD
Dr. Chin earned both her Bachelor’s in Integrative Biology and Doctorate of Optometry at the University of California, Berkeley. Her clinical training included rotations through Eastmont Wellness Center, Marin Community Clinic, and American Lake VA in Lakewood, Washington. She served in medical missions trips in Nicaragua and graduated with honors from the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society.
Following optometry school, Dr. Chin completed a residency in Primary Care and Ocular Disease with the Veterans Affairs Portland Health Care System in Salem, Oregon. During residency, she worked with a high volume of primarily geriatric patients, treating and managing a variety of complex and advanced ocular disease, including glaucoma, macular degeneration, retinal vascular disease, and diabetic retinopathy. Her residency also included training in urgent eye care management and low vision rehabilitation. She enjoys caring for patients of all ages and is passionate about providing the highest quality of vision care.
Dr. Chin recently moved back home to the Bay Area and lives with her husband in the East Bay. They enjoy spending time hiking, backpacking, cooking, and trying new restaurants.
