Dr. Duong received his bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in chemistry at San Jose State University. He then attended Pennsylvania College of Optometry and received his Doctor of Optometry in 2009.
Dr. Duong’s rotations include The Eye Institute in Philadelphia, PA, Veteran’s Affair Hospital in Palo Alto, CA, and Hu Hu Kam Memorial Hospital in Sacaton, AZ. He is trained at the highest level and certified to treat glaucoma.

He is trained at the highest level and certified to treat glaucoma. Dr. Duong provides primary eye care with a special interest in specialty contact lens fittings for hard to fit corneas. As a member of the American Optometric Association (Contact Lens and Cornea Section), Dr. Duong has published articles reviewing current trends in contact lens care and technology. He is certified to fit corneal reshaping (Ortho-K) lenses for myopia control.

The letters “FAAO” (Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry) after an optometrist’s, scientist’s, or other professional’s name signify to colleagues and patients that rigorous qualifications for fellowship have been met. He is also an FSLS (Fellow of the Scleral Lens Society) and qualified to fit scleral contact lenses for eye conditions that affect the cornea (i.e. keratoconus, pellucid marginal degeneration, dry eyes, post-LASIK, post-RK, and many more conditions).
His outside interests include spending time with his family, hiking, and following bay area sports.
